I’m excited to announce that my company Marketing By Web (based in Bristol but with clients worldwide) has achieved Google AdWords Partner Status. This means we have on board a fully qualifed AdWords Search Advertising Professional (myself!) who has passed both Google exams at basic AND advanced status. It is a requirement that all Google AdWords Professionals pass the new exam by October 2010. I am expecting a lot of AdWords companies to struggle with the difficult Advanced exam, as well as an influx of AdWords training enquiries from other PPC agencies requesting I help them achieve Partner Status.

Hi Claire,
Well done on passing your exams, I imagine you are going to dominate the local ad words market because in my opinion Google Adword advertising has become more and more difficult to gain worthwhile results, and that’s where a professional such as yourself comes in.
A few years ago it was easy to get thousands of click throughs for just pennies, but today it is a completely different story. So I would like to wish you the very best of luck in your new venture.
Thanks Kevin. I’m actually delighted the new set of Google exams are so hard to pass, as this will make my competition so much less – I suspect many previous professionals had found the old exams very easy and will be stumped by these new ones!
Congratulations Claire!
The exams are definitely harder now but, as you say, that’s a good thing.
Thanks Adrian – indeed the exams are really a true indicator of quality as they’re actually really quite difficult. Funnily enough I’ve actually been approached by people to sit the exam FOR them lol!
Congrats on your exam (saw your tweet).
To be honest, I dont think they are that difficult, atleast not compared to the Omniture tests. I think most in-house Omniture consultants would fail their own tests.
Hi Kamran
I note you’ve taken the basic exams at the moment, the additional 2 for Display Advertising and Reporting & Analysis are pretty difficult as I’m sure you will agree once you sit these too! I’ve not looked at Omniture tests I must admit.
