Why You Shouldn’t Expect Your Membership Site To Make You “Rich”

I’m not going to lie to you. It’s unlikely you’ll ever get to the stage where you’re making $100k per month from a Membership Site without putting in some serious effort. So let me show you how you don’t NEED it to make you rich – and how in fact you should look at it as just another part of your marketing strategy.

I encourage my group members to look at a Membership Program as a vital step towards even bigger goals, and a fast way to build a HUGE fanbase.

Have you heard of the 80/20 rule? It states that 80% of your revenue will come from 20% of your clients. 20% of your clients are willing to pay more – a LOT more. So let’s start planning out what to do with your new members AFTER you’ve launched the site.

Some suggestions for upsells might be the following:
1) Intensive small group programs – where you work with people more intensely over a 6 to 8 week period. Typically you can charge anywhere from $2k to $10k for the program
2) VIP days – anywhere from $1k to $10k for a single day
3) Retreats – usually charged between $2k and $8k for a weekend
4) Masterminds – most Masterminds are around $20k to $25k per year

Once you start learning to sell via the methods I teach (such as automated webinars, automated marketing methods and how to rapidly launched a membership site) you’ll be getting in front of hundreds or even thousands of prospects each month. You’ll be bringing in clients on autopilot and also building an amazing “Buzz” and online fanbase that quite simply cannot be matched by any other method.

So let’s consider – adding just TEN members a month at $50 per month is $500 per month. Within a year you’d be earning $6000 per month from 120 members. If you also immediately add in an upsell for your members such as a Mastermind costing $1,000 or even $2,000 per month to 20% of them, you can easily be adding an extra $20,000 plus per month AS WELL within a year! Just imagine if you ran a couple of VIP days or group programs at the same time? Can you see how as soon as you’ve started bringing in customers on autopilot – the pathway to $26,000 per month appears SO much clearer?
